Work and play overlap for many digital marketing agencies. List & Found are a great example – a quirky, confident team letting their creative juices run rampant from Manchester’s Beehive Mill. They’ve led campaigns for retail, transport and pharma businesses among others, electrifying every project (with no jargon to short-circuit you).
This is an agency after our own heart . . . So we were delighted to bring their vibrancy to life on a brand new website.
Approach
As ever, a Discovery session laid their personality and ours on the table. We suggested livewire animations to express their ever-churning ideas. This would be complemented by a green and black colour scheme, for something a little more vivid than you’d expect elsewhere.
With branding in the bag, we crafted wireframes for List & Found, coding and testing the winning prototype. Not every hero image would be animated, but some could create diversity without being too intense – the perks of a black-and-white filter. Examples included blinking light bulbs, fireworks and a rolling text press like something you’d find in a newspaper printer.
The About page needed to lay out benefits with extra flavour, such as a quick explainer video and office photos. However, we wanted to get down to the serious stuff too. Client testimonials would be accompanied by percentage bars, loading the results of the agency’s work (more enquiries and so on) there on the screen.
Immediately, you can see why List & Found is a step away from the norm. The homepage greets you with a cheeky list of accomplishments, checked off one by one. Below them sit half a dozen award wins, showing how the right kind of quirk earns results.
The Capabilities page uses thick green subheaders for divisions. Over on the Work section, four projects rest above a large list of other clientele, adding more trust and prestige to the business. This website’s already taken them far. List & Found won Coca Cola from an SEO search.
